Troubleshooting
Common installation errors
Most install failures are permissions, a blocked network, or another installation already running. Here is how to resolve each.
A handful of causes account for most failed installs.
Usual suspects
- Permissions — the installer needs administrator rights; run it elevated.
- Blocked download — the device must reach the backend to fetch its configuration; check network and security software.
- Another installer running — Windows allows one installation at a time. Let the other finish, then retry.
- Reboot pending — some installs ask for a restart to complete; reboot and confirm.
Always use a fresh installer from the dashboard so the server address and token are correct for your organization.
