Configuring what a policy monitors

Monitoring is driven by policies you assign to devices or groups. Choose which signals — apps, web, files, screenshots — each policy records, and apply only what you need.

What a device records is controlled by the monitoring policy assigned to it, not by a single global switch. This lets you monitor different teams differently.

What you can turn on per policy

  • Application and window activity — which apps are used and for how long.
  • Web activity — sites and categories visited.
  • Screenshots — periodic or event-based, with a frequency you control.
  • File and USB activity — file operations and removable-media events.

Assign a policy to a device, a group, or the whole organization. Enable only the signals you actually need — it keeps data minimal and respects your team.
