Setting up two-factor authentication
Add a second step to your sign-in with an authenticator app or email code, so a stolen password alone cannot get into your account.
Two-factor authentication (2FA) means a password alone is not enough to sign in.
Turning on 2FA
- Choose a method — a code from an authenticator app, or a code sent to your email.
- Confirm the setup by entering a first code.
- From then on, sign-in asks for your password and a fresh code.
Your organization can require 2FA for everyone. Trusted devices can be remembered so you are not prompted on every sign-in from a machine you use regularly.
